Working With Me
That experience changes the advice you get.

How I Got Here
In university, I watched my landlord get a townhouse paid for by the people renting it. That was enough for me to realize I knew I was going to own real estate.
Years later, my wife and I bought our first home with a coach house attached so someone could pay half our mortgage. We kept going: rentals, renovations, flips. I ran all the numbers myself and brought them to my mortgage agent.
One day he stopped me.
"Why aren't you doing this? You're doing all my work."
That question became a career.

Before I recommend anything, I run the numbers. My background is in strategy, I think in outcomes and scenarios, not products. My instinct is the same: understand the full picture before making a call.
Strategy without execution is just talk. I have a project management history meaning your file gets actively managed from first conversation to funding, not set up and handed off to the lender and hoped for.
There's usually more than one way to structure a mortgage. My job is finding the lender and product one that actually fits your goals. Not what's available at one lender and forcing you to fit that single product
30 years ago, a friend asked if I still liked camping.
That question changed the next three decades.

I'm the Group Commissioner for 1st Port Nelson Scouts (a role I've held for 25 years) and sit on the Greater Toronto Scouts Foundation Board. I've taken youth to World Jamborees and Canadian Jamborees, organized regional camps, and logged thousands of hours of community service. Burlington isn't just where I work. I grew up here, was part of the Burlington Teen Tour Band, and came back here to build.
In 2020, the Governor General of Canada awarded me the Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers, Canada's highest honour for voluntary service. I also hold the Bar to the Silver Acorn for especially distinguished service to Scouting.
While my child is no longer in Scouting I continue to volunteer.
Terra brings the same energy to mortgages that she brings to everything else: focused, thorough, and fully committed to seeing it through.
She's an experienced real estate investor in her own right, an active member of the BRX mortgage network, and (alongside her husband) a fixture on Ontario's Legend Car racing circuit with a BRX-sponsored car.
Between race weekends and managing files, she's a mom and an avid RV traveller who appreciates a well-planned route and a smooth finish line. Your mortgage file is in good hands.

Between Terra and Colin, we've bought and managed dozens of investment properties, navigated lenders from both sides of the table, and spent years learning what actually works.
You're not getting a call centre.
You're getting two people who show up with real experience, think in outcomes,
and stay in your file until it's done.
That's what working with us looks like.
The right lender is not always obvious.
Your goals will help define how we can save you the most money.
